P&A technologies for the energy sector

We develop disruptive P&A technologies, typical solutions for rig less operations which are cost effective as well as cutting the environmental footprint.

P&A technologies for the energy sector

The technologies we’re developing are based on mapping the main reasons why a costly semisubmersible or jack-up rig is mobilized for offshore P&A and the alternatives we came up with to achieve the same end goals.

Examples, as listed on the home page, include:

The Tubular Slicer

A longitudinal and circumferential tubular slicing wireline tool that can remove wellbore tubing to provide access to the outer casing string. This then allows access to the casing to use standard casing bond logging tools and similar.

The Tubular Slicer tool is a pumped wireline tool that can split wellbore tubing longitudinally and circumferentially, and then push the segments down into the wellbore. This enables us to remove a certain length (e.g., 50 meters) of tubing, providing direct access to the production casing and allowing standard CBL-type technologies to be used to check the annulus integrity prior to well abandonment.

WABNICHECK

Well Abandonment Barrier Integrity Check. AAI is also in the early stage of lab testing a principle for checking the downhole barrier integrity of abandoned wellbores without having to deploy a downhole tool.

Axter

Removal of cables or control lines. Imagine smart down hole machining on a wire. The Axter wireline deployed tool suite offers controlled acoustic scanning with drilling, milling, gripping and cutting features controlled by the stroker and rotation capacity on our tool string.
