Heating

We’ve designed and delivered several downhole heating systems for a variety of applications.

We’ve designed and delivered several downhole heating systems for a variety of applications. As a result, we’ve built up competencies around various relevant heating technologies and how they can best be implemented in wellbore and subsea applications. One of our largest systems, which is deployed by cable to create a shale barrier with outside casing, will be used for well abandonment as well as for new wells where sustained casing pressure is a concern.

This system will output up to 400 °C (750 °F), which heats up the casing and the near wellbore area with the intention of making the shale collapse, to form a permanent barrier. In addition, we build downhole well-completion systems for subsea wells. Smaller systems are also being developed to allow produced fluid heating, wax removal and prevention, bismuth alloy placement, etc.

If you think your operations could benefit from elevating the temperature of your downhole or subsea flowing fluids, contact us to find out more. We’re great at designing and delivering solutions that meet your expectations!
